Today I tried a CAS card (Clean and Simple). These cards are usually only one layer and can be a bit tricky to make as we always tend to want to put more details in it. The secret to CAS cards is less is more.
I used the “Subtle” embossing folder to emboss the card matt, then using a sponge I added a couple of drops of Bright Cooper shimmer paint to a silicone craft sheet and dabbed the sponge into it. I didn’t want it to be too thick, but enough to make it smear on the card. It’s good to have a practice on a piece of grid paper first to try and get the effect, as you only have one go lol. Placing some adhesive sheet to the back of copper foil I then used one of the leaves from the “Tropical” thinlets set and ran it through the Big Shot. I coloured a few of the pearls with the shimmer paint and let them dry (they do take awhile) and left a few plain. To finish off, the sentiment with inked with left over shimmer paint and then the card mat was adhered with a layer of dimensionals to give it a bit of height. Hope you give it a go, its a lot of fun and quick and easy to make.
